FDR was there?

The Sunday School teachers went out last night for a little girl time to a local bed & breakfast called The Edge of Thyme. I was told that even FDR used to go there to relax and this elevator was put in just for him. Pretty interesting.
I thought "Ok, so we're going for tea... maybe we'll get a little snack too." Not so! We got the following 8 course meal! And it was delicious! We started with Cream of Spinach Soup with freshly ground Nutmeg on top.

Throughout the evening we could pick from four teas:
  • Ginger Green
  • Peach Brandy
  • Orange Spice
  • Cherry Peppermint

My personal favorite was the Ginger Green but I did sample all four.

  • Chicken Salad (with grapes in it! Sounds weird but it was very tasty.)

Proper Cucumber Sandwiches

(I guess there is an EXACT way you have to do it inorder to be able to call it proper.)

Crackers with Roasted Garlic Onion Preserves

Our Server

Cheese with Ginger Snaps (I can not remember what kind of cheese!)
Also sounds weird to eat together but was soooo good.
  • Fresh Blueberry Bread with a Cream Cheese filling
  • Still warm Cranberry Scones with two kinds of spread. One was a lemon and one was a creamy...

And last but not least....

This delicious apple and blueberry torte.

I hope I got all the info right but honestly I was too busy eating to take notes!
