Saturday Evening Service Starts August 9th!

Why a Saturday evening service?
We have decided to begin this new service as an opportunity to participate in a more modern style of worship. There will be two parts to the service: music and word. The music will be set to acoustic guitar. You can sing along or sit and listen. Either way, it is designed for you to focus on God. The word portion will be a Bible study type of lesson, initally focused on basics of our faith in God. It will be open for for questions as we go. So, once again, you can participate through dialogue, or simply listen.
In the future, we hope to have others share their stories, thoughts, or expressions of worship (in song, dance, art, etc.). We hope parents will bring their children and allow them freedom in the sanctuary to be children; to laugh, play, sing, and dance.
We hope this will be an opportunity for those without a church to come explore their faith. We hope this will be an extra opportunity for our Sunday morning crew to experience a different expresion of worship. But our intention is not to lure believers from other churches (no sheep stealing!).
How about Sunday morning?
Nothing will change. The traditional services at McKendree and Germany Hill will remain traditional services. Our hope is to offer different types of services so different people can worship in different ways. And we desire passionate worship in every service.
If you have questions, concerns, or ideas, please contact us.
